weight you put in for books from the 1/16, 2/16, etc., to actual weights in ounces?  I hadn't noticed it before, but I love it!!!  I'll be adding weights now when I do an edit.   Pat

It's always been like that for me. Glad it's that way for you too now...what a pain it must have been before!

It has been just in lb's (% of lb) forever, so 7 oz was .44 or a lb + 7 oz was listed as 1.44.  Now it's actually the lb & oz separately.  It changed sometime between noon and 6pm on the 16th.  I think it's going to be a big improvement!  The approvers have routinely converted the amounts and sent the edits on their way...  Wasn't worth contacting members - some (members) would just put the amount in the Reason Box because they hated dealing with the math.  :^)

Oh that's great, it was such a pain to do the conversion before and now it will be far more accurate.

I first noticed the change today when printing several wrappers. This is a wonderful improvement and will make labels easier to print.

I submitted a request to make this change long ago (and I suspect many others have as well), so it is great to see that it has finally happened. :-)

How bizarre - I'm with sally, it's always been that way for me too.

I joined in 2010. It has always been pounds and ounces for me.

The pounds and ounces has always been there when entering a shipping weight, but not when entering the weight during a book data edit. The latter had to be entered in pounds and decimal fractions of pounds and was a real nuisance, so expanding the entry to include both lbs and oz's is a good thing.

OK - Chris explained it, as I've always entered the weight from the book data edit, and it's always been in the fractions (1/16, 2/16, etc.) for me, and was a real pain. I converted some, but then got tired and bored with the conversions, and just stopped entering the weights.  I do have a scale, so not it's easy to do with the conversion from the fractions to pounds/ounces at the data edit point.
