I orderd a book on the 9th and she agreed to send it by the 14th.  It has not been marked as sent yet.  I was considering sending her a pm just to see if maybe she forgot to mark  it as sent.  Is it to early to do so?

Did you mean January 14? Or December? If it's Dec 14, it will have already timed out. If you meant January 14, that's yesterday. And I believe if you say you'll send it 1/14, you get an extra 2 days grace period? I definitely would not contact her if it's a few HOURS into the day after it was supposed to be sent. She may have sent it and just not gotten back on the computer. I'd give it a few days at the minimum.

I would give it a little bit. there is a two day grace period and she may just have forgot to mark it sent. Or, if she is in an area that is experiencing some of the extreme cold/snow lately, it may delay her a day or two.

plus they have 2 days after that to mark it mailed so if by the 16th you haven't seen it marked you might check in and let her know if it was mailed she needs to mark it as so otherwise it will time out and go to the next person and you don't want to see her out a credit if the books was mailed

If they printed the label then I would send a PM to ask them if they forgot to mark it mailed. Then you know to cancel the next transaction because if it's posted into the system then it'll be automatically reordered for you and you might end up with 2 books.  If it's WL it'll go back on your WL and you could end up with another offer for the book.

I don't usually PM but I will pm if a book label has been printed and is about to time out or if a WL book is about to go lost.  I will wait to PM that day and ask if they mailed the book late.  So I can put my account on hold to stop any other offers for the book.

I would only PM if the transaction expired to ask if they did actually send it.... so I would know to wait and not order it from someone else or have the system order from someone else.

remember pbs is sending them alerts to check on the status- I agree with the poster who said no pm unless it actually expired to see if you need to order another.
