I LOVED this book. I've read a number of Clark's books and have enjoyed them all, but this one was one of my favorites. I love how she does not include pages of "filler" that has nothing to do with the plot. Every page in this book is pertinent. I also love how she includes what the killer is thinking. I totally had no clue who the killer was until the very end. SOOOO good !

It was an easy read and kept you guessing "who did it" til the end.
Mary Jane Clark is on my list to read books. The characters and the suspense of her writing makes this a page turner too. Very good read. I am now ordering It only takes money

Mary Jane Clark writes fast paced murder mysteries about people who work in broadcast journalism. When Day Breaks is the first in her new series, the Sunrise Suspense Society. When a prominent but much disliked news anchor is murdered, the members of the KEY News team try to solve the crime. Clark's prose is crisp and suspenseful, which leaves the reader guessing until the end. A good and satisfying read.

This was a fun, fast mystery that I enjoyed. The behind-the-scenes working of television news was a great subplot, and the storyline makes perfect sense. This is a great summer beach read.

The drowning of a television celebrity in her home pool causes an uproar which becomes a firestorm when it's revealed that she was murdered. Colleagues at the television station manage to bumble their way into identifying the murder, but not until well past the time when Careful Reader has already sussed it out.
