I can't always find specific books, but if you'll post at least GENRES you're looking for, I'll be glad to help out. Most probably won't be WL books, but you never know. But I'd love to come up with books people want to read. I'm not a romance reader -- are there any authors I should look out for? I figure we are overrun with Nora Roberts and Daniellie Steele so I don't even go there -- I would if I knew of specific titles people want. I have been lucky enough to get books whose WLs recently ran out (e.g., "Marley and Me," whic was immediately snapped up. There is a copy of "Sex and the City," but I figure everyone who wanted to read it has done so. Are books on cassettes as desirable as books on CD (which also get grabbed right away)? They get more of the former than the latter. |

Carly,I also stop at the thrift shops frequently. What helps me the most, is that my cell phone has an internet connection. PBS has a mobile version that allows you to check if a book is wishlisted or not. So if I see a book in good condition that looks interesting, I can quickly check to see if anyone is wishing for it. Look for the more unusual books. They usually will be wishlisted, or go quickly. I have found that Paranormal, Zombie, Manga and Erotica are the genres that move quickest for me. |
