If i have a book on my shelf and other copies are available, what kind of order is used when this book is wished/requested??? I'm thinking it would be based on the date of posting????????  Any idea????

That's exactly it.  FIFO = First In First Out

Sometimes books do get requested out of order though.  A lot of regular posters will check out the shelves of people they see on the boards before they order from FIFO. Especially if you post in the genre forums because they know a regular poster is more likely to accept and mail the request quickly. But for the  most part they are firt in first out.

The other way FIFO is bypassed is that when a person orders a book, there is a button that allows you to "order more from member". I often check the person's bookshelf that way and if I see other books I've been thinking of ordering or something just catches my fancy, I'll do a multiple order from one shelf.
