Ok...  Am I reading this wrong or am I just not understanding it?   Is the only part of this RC that is actually an RC the last line?  Huh?

Lots of the books I post come from book swapping here or the second hand store. I have no idea where the books have been. I do not know if they were around smoke before I received them. I do not know if they have been around pets. Cigarette smoke and pets do not bother me. I am just glad to get the books I want to read in readable condition. Do not request books from me if you hate cigarette smoke and/or pets. My books may sometimes contain a smoke smell. I don't notice it but you might.

All hardcover books must have dustcovers.

I think this person has misunderstood the purpose of requestor conditions. Part of this is clearly addressed to people who are requesting books from her, but those members will never see her conditions.

I would say if she requested a paperback, send it. If she requested a hardcover, send it only if it has a dust jacket.

I was thinking the same thing as Cathy. They obviously don't realize that people requesting books from them will never see that message.

I got a similar RC once with a long message that was obviously meant to be on her bookshelf header or in her signature.  I sent her a message back explaining this, and she thanked me for the information.  Yours, however, looks like it does have an RC at the end!  I would take the last line as her RC and send a message back letting her know that her first paragraph would be more helpful on her bookshelf header.

Hey! We can turn this into a new game for the CMT forum!

I would accept the order and send her a polite PM telling her that her RC should be placed in the "Public Header" on her bookshelf. The "Edit Public Header" button is at the top of her "My Bookshelf" tab. She may unnecessarily lose out on books because of her current RC. You can also point her to the help center section regarding the purpose of RC's and the public header on her bookshelf.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I did accept the order and sent her what I hope is a nice PM with the public header information.  By the RC's I thought maybe she was a newbie, but she's been here for 2 years.  Maybe she doesn't know about that option (I didn't).  Thanks everyone!

The bookshelf header thing is fairly new. So if she doesn't hang out in the forums or read the newletters (I always forget to read those) then she might not know that option is there.

I see people put this kind of info in their signatures and it really only informs other posters.  It doesn't inform people ordering from FIFO.
