I received a book one week ago that was badly water damaged. I sent the sender a pm asking for my credit back. Not only have I not recieved a credit, but I haven't received a response with her stating "The book was fine when I sent it." I know that PBS has rules requiring a response in 7 fays, so what happens when they don't respond? She doesn't have a public profile so I can't see how long she's been a member, she only has 8 books on her shelf and only one on her WL, so I have a feeling my transaction was one of her first and she may have done a drive by. What should I do now, let it go? I don't carry a surplus of credits, so spending one on a damaged book sucks! |

regretfully, there is nothing R&R can do about making her give you a credit back but, if she doesn't respond in 7 days please do report that to R&R. They will check out her account or whatever they do and it is my understanding it will put an additional (if you reported the book RWAP) on her account. I know it isn't fair, not nice and all those things and I have experienced it myself. Had one received with quite a bit of damage (cover splitting apart, mold, etc) and the sender refused to give me my credit back and only responded after I told her I'd report her for not responding to my PM's. She may have responded but I reported her anyway. Sorry you've had this experience. Christy |
