I love me some cowboys and this one was no exception.
I thought the "action" started rather quickly, but it was certainly most enjoyable. The plot is pretty straight forward. Boy meets girl. The fall in lust and into bed. They're in Vegas, so why not get married? After the hasty marriage, reality sets in and the heroine flees. The hero pursues and sets about convincing her of her mistake. I would have kept him in the first place. Anywho, there are a few other minor subplots, but that's the meat and potatoes.
So, if you're looking for cowboys or contemporary erotica, this is your book.
As an added bonus, this is part of a series. I already have "Roping the Wind" in my TBR mountain and plan on reading "Riding the Line" as well.

Quick FYI, Cheek is a British publisher. As a result there are some instances where the British spelling of words are used as opposed to the US spelling. It didn't bother me in the least, but others may have a problem with it.

I have to say I prefer Kate Pearce's historical eerotic romances (Simply series). The heroine in this contemporary romance was hardly sympathetic. A few of the sex scenes were more like placeholders. The plot got way too busy toward the rushed end. Sorry, going with a 2.5 on this one.

For the most part I thought this was a good read. Nice hot cowboy story with good sex that was well written and easy to follow. BUT in the end I was too annoyed with the finale. After he lies to her for the entire book and she finds out and is rightfully angry he walks out on her. Then a week later he comes to her with his "explanations" and when she tries to talk to him he says its over and walks away. This was the second to last chapter. In the last chapter she is waiting for him at the ranch and asking for another chance.

Um for me I would have given this book 4 stars if he had apologized to her and been waiting at her apartment instead of the other way around. Her having to chase him down after he was rude and walked out just ruined him and the story for me. Um HE LIED, not her, why did she have to go to him?
