I have a British edition of the Carl Hiaasen latest-- Star Island. It has a different ISBN than the wish listed book (141 wishers) and is apparently not linked. Is there a central place to bring this to the attention of members? Thanks. |

Book Baazar. Or your sig line or profile. You can ask for a credit for any book, but you can never ask for more than one credit, remeber. Although Book Bazaar is mostly people posting books for less than one credit, there are people who post unpostables for a credit and people with your issue posting, all the time. I am not sure, but I believe you are also allowed to start a thread in the genre forum into which it fits. others here will know. |

Hi Sarah. You can post in the Book Bazaar advertising the edition you have, by either starting your own thread, or adding a post to the Wishlisted Under Different ISBN thread. eta: The Book Bazaar is a place not only for deals, but for advertising one's shelf for any reason. Perhaps a member just posted a number of vintage books of a certain genre, and would like to make it known. IT's also a great place for new members to call attention to their offerings, in hopes of kickstarting their transactions. Don't let the deals fool you, there's a lot more to the Book Bazaar than bargains and credit sales (though those are pretty nifty, too!) Last Edited on: 10/12/11 1:16 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

FYI, the book with 141 wishers is a hardcover edition. There's also a large print edition with 74 wishers. But there are also three paperback ISBNs, and two of them have four wishers, so the link Jimi posted is a good bet. |

I'll also put a tag under the version with the long WL. Something like "also listed under ISBN xxx". Quick. Easy. And my books get ordered. If the reason that books are not linked is because of slight differences in listing, you can submit a book data edit. The system needs the name to be exactly the same. John R Smith, John Robert Smith and John R. Smith are treated as three different authors. |
