Where do I go on PBS to request magazine issues I am looking for?

I'm looking for Taste of Home Best Holiday Recipes issues and Contest Winners issues

I know you are not allowed to post magazines on PBS - that's why I'd like to know where I can request on here from members who may have some they would like to get rid of or sell

Thank you

Magazines are not postable/swappable here.

From the Help Center:

Not allowed:

  • Anything that is not a book (this includes calendars, coloring books, blank journals)
  • Anything that contains advertising (such as single-issue comic books or comic book digests or magazines)

We can't trade magazines, but you can "wish" for it in the RAOK thread. (Random Acts of Kindness)

I know you can't trade magazines here - that's why I wanted to find a forum where I could request these from members who may have them and would like to get rid of them    Kristine - thanks for letting me know about the RAOK thread

I would think the Cooking thread would also be a place to ask.

Please note that magazines cannot be send by media mail.

Also--not sure, but maybe your local library might have them?

Magazines can be swapped unofficially in the Book Bazaar for credit. (This means they cannot be posted into the system, you have to send credits via the Give Credit button and PM the address to send them to). They cannot be send Media Mail. You could post there what you are looking for.

Magazines that have commercial advertisements in them are not allowed on PBS. That said, there is currently a copy of 2005 Taste of Home Annual Recipes available from another member.  Publications that do not have an ISBN and have less than 50 pages should not be listed as a book for trade credit, but can be posted on the Book Bazaar.

Edited for clarification 10/19/14:
I intended to mean that
Magazines that have commercial advertisements in them are not allowed to be posted as swappable items for credit on PBS.
rather than that they are not allowed at all.

From the Help Center:
What can be posted for swapping here?

Not allowed:

  • Anything that contains advertising (such as single-issue comic books or comic book digests or magazines)

These ARE allowed to be swapped unofficially in the Book Bazaar Forum following the process I explained in my post (Transfer the credit via the Give Credit button, PM the address, do not use Media Mail to send).   As long as it is not posted into the system, but done as an unofficial swap, non-swappable media items such as magazines can be offered in the Book Bazaar Forum now.
