Okay.  After Cheryl and I were talking about books made into TV shows, I thought it might be fun to start a thread about what books or series you would like to see brought to life either as a TV series or a movie and what actors would you like to see play the main characters?  I will start the thread but will have to think of my answers as well.  I have a few ideas but I have to really think long and hard.

I would LOVE to see The Hunger Games and Catching Fire as movies. As far as who I would like to play the characters, I really have no idea! But I think the story line would be wonderful on the big screen.

I would LOVE to see Patricia Briggs' Mercy series made into movies, as long as they were done well, of course. ;-)

The Vampire Academy books or the Hunger Game books. Oddly enough, my two choices are both considered young adult. I'm so happy Hunger Games was picked up to be made into a movie. If any of you haven't read the two books so far in the Hunger Games series, please do. Don't be put off by the Young Adult category. The writing is far more sophisticated then most adult authors. I would love to see Kat and Bones in a movie from the Night Huntress series but I can't imagine how the couple would translate to the big screen.

Michelle, Hunger Games and Catching Fire are two of my all-time favorite books. LOVED them!  Sarah, good to know on Poison Study!  I just got it in the mail today. I can't wait to read it!

I'd love to see The Host by Stephenie Meyer made into a movie!

Me too Wendy! As I was reading it, I could definitely picture it as a movie. I even tried to cast all the characters in my head. I wonder if there will ever be more books in that world.

You know, I've had the Host on my shelf since the day it came out and sadly, I still haven't read it.  I'm totally going to check out the Hunger Games if you say they're that good.  Me and Virginia kind of have the same taste in books, so if she liked them, then I'm sure I will as well.

On her website, Stephenie Meyer has said that she'd like to make it into a trilogy. I bought The Host the day it came out as well, have picked it up twice and haven't been able to get through the first few chapters. Seems you guys liked it, so it gets more interesting?

Cool, a trilogy!  Gina, the first few chapters are definitely slow. There is an exact point in the book where the action picks up big time and it's hard to put it down. I highly recommend picking it back up. This won't ruin anything, but once you get past the desert scenes, it's way more interesting.

OMG, Kim, you've gotta read Hunger Games. I have no doubt that you will absolutely love it.

Okay.  I found the one I would love to play my favorite male (Sebastian Wroth), never thought I'd find someone I thought could live up to my image of him.  But I don't know this guy's name, can't find it for the life of me.  He's the head of the Russian Mafia in Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video.  GORGEOUS.
