Overall, I was a little disappointed because the mystery was so easy to figure out. I knew who did it and the motive long before the reveal. So, I only gave it 3 stars because I felt annoyed at how simple the mystery was to solve. But, that being said, I still finished the book and enjoyed it well enough. I will give the next book in the series a shot because I'm a knitter that loves to read knitting related mystery novels. What can I say? I'm a total sucker. lol! :)

This is a fairly good book for the first in the series. I felt like it dragged a bit in the middle, and I was able to figure out "who did it" fairly quickly. However in the last third of the book the action picked up and was really able to grab my attention. In fact, the end was so well done that I am looking forward to trying the next book when it is published. It took me awhile to figure out who the main character was. Not who I expected. I would recommend it as a good gentle cozy which I am sure will continue to develop for the author.

The knitting activities were better in this book than some of the other knitting mysteries. Yes, the mystery was kinda obvious, but the story was worth reading. It was a good introduction to our characters. I liked how they were true loyal friends when the shop owner is the main suspect. I wanted to add that this book, mainly comes from the vantage point of LUCY who is not the shop owner or the main suspect. It is nice that the sleuth was Lucy and not the shop owner. It was not written in first person.

Good cozy, easy read, easy solve, 1st book, getting to know the characters was fun. Their friendship with one another is nice and should be good in stories to follow. Hope it follows the same lines of clean read, good knitting hints and fun new stuff, such as the Jello coloring.

Fun book. It's a great introduction to a new series. I hope the follow-ups are as entertaining.

A little predictable with a twist near the end. A fast read. Enjoyable. Good Beach book

This was the first time I read anything by Anne Canadeo and I will definitely look for more books written by her. It was a light, enjoyable read, perfect for a break from a stressful day.

This was an O.K. read action was really slow, characters could have used more developing --- and, really wasnt that believable knitting stores in my area have become scare and mostly gone so that 2 so close together in the same city just wasnt that believable. Once you found out who did the killing you didnt have to go any further in the book ---the knitting pattern the author offered had you go to a web site and just print it out a couple of recipes but nothing the knitters I know would eat. For 1st in a series, it was o.k.

As a knitter, I love the book. It has kept me on edge trying to figure out who done it.
