IN MY NOT SO HUMBLE OPINION:
I can't believe that anyone, especially someone who loves dogs like this author does, can write a series about an empty headed, self centered, narcissistic, sanctimonious moron like Whiskey Mattimoe...
I had hoped that this character would have evolved by now but I see that has not happened.
And O M GOSH I am sick to death of hearing about her libido.Give it a rest.Once or twice in the book would do, but to constantly read it over and over and over just to fill space is ridiculous. I hoped I had found a series about a mischievous dog and its overwhelmed owner not a series about an oversexed owner and her oversexed unwanted dog.
The sad part is that the books so far in this series have great twists and turns, pretty good story lines and mystery enough to keep you reading...if you didn't have to hear constantly about the libido!
AND do not get me started on how much the lead character hates dogs!!!!! Not only can't she be bothered to even feed or water them she has absolutely no concern about their safety. Her only selfish thoughts are how it will affect her bank account.
I'm sorry but I will NOT be spending any more of my credits, money,or time on this series.

This is Book #4. This was a very easy read. A little predictable. The Mystery was easily figured out but it was a nice ride for Whiskey to catch up. It seems like sex was an undercurrent in this book for both humans and dogs.

Abra and Avery both behaved in this book. It starts off like a nice simple book and then comes the dead body. It was very easy to figure out the mystery but it was such a pleasant read I did not mind.

Very nice read! Highly recommended series. Read in order.
1- Whiskey on the Rocks
2- Whiskey Straight Up
3- Whiskey and Tonic
4- Whiskey and Water
5- Whisky with a Twist
