This book passed the time, but it wasn't very original. It was exactly like all the Victoria Holt books I've ever read, only this book had a sex scene in it. :) I enjoyed the first half more than the second half because I was hoping there would be more of an intriguing storyline. However, the mystery part of the book was predictable because there weren't enough characters and suspects, so it was easy to figure things out. After the two protagonists professed their love for each other, the book was immensely cheesy. Either way it was a nice, light read.
