Not what I expected, but interesting. I can't say I loved it, but I read late into the night, needing to know how it ended and what happened. While I wouldn't put it on the list of books that made me sigh with delight and wish would never end, it definitely pushed me toward the end relentlessly. This in and of itself says much.

This may be vague, but I don't want to give away too much. The story does require you to suspend belief in some ways, as do most ghost tales, but this one has some interesting twists and unexpected turns that make you think...Hhhhmmm.

Not for the faint of heart. There are some rough references here to the behaviors of boys during the past centuries at Harrow that may be disturbing to some readers.

All in all a worthwhile read - if the premise interests you, you most likely will not be disappointed.
