I have a wish list book that i accepted the member PM'd me and told me the condition of the book was not in the best condition (taped up spine due to cover falling off and lots of wear and tear due to lots of reading) , normally i don't mind these conditions and will accept, but am intending to not swap this book back out and keep it for myself, so i let the other person know that and it is still sitting in an accepted status, should i cancel it? Is it my responsibility since it is a book that IMO shouldn't be in the system? I'm afraid i will lose my FIFO. Should I ask the other person to cancel on their end? If it is my responsibility to cancel and lose my FIFO then i will, i just am not sure of the ettiquette. THanks! |

A book with the cover taped back on is unpostable by PBS guidelines, and should never have been posted FIFO. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the sender to cancel the transaction. FYI - tape cannot make a book postable. |

Yes, the prospective sender needs to cancel. Absolutely do not cancel, you will lose your place in the Wish List line. I would send a PM letting the other member know that they have to cancel. |

Amanda-- The poster should cancel. They are posting a book that sounds like it isn't in postable condition. At the very least, it sounds like it doesn't meet the the following "ALL books on PBS are expected to be in "good, not excessively worn" condition". You are right, if you cancel you'll lose your place in the wish list line. |
