I just discovered the Eclectic Pen part of this site.

I put up 3 submissions.

One submission has 4.5 blue stars, the other two submissions have no blue stars.

I don't really submit to get blue stars, but I would like to know how I got them.

I checked, and I can not give anyone else a star, as far as I can see.

So, how did I get blue stars?

I just went in and if you hold your mouse pointer (um cursor) over the light blue stars (they show up yellow outlined in red) over someone elses story (cant be your own) you can give them a rating. So the readers are rating it.

OK, thanks.

I appreciate your help.

You would think pbs would give you some instructions.

But, since I am getting blue stars, I guess I won't complain.

I just figured out the star ratings change.

I am not doing as well as I did at first.

That is OK by me.

I wish I could get some constructive criticism, rather than just ratings.

Marla Maye since you always seemed to bring a smile to my face, I will do my best to read your stories and give you a review with contructive critcism. I understand your need for it and I only have been getting it recently on a few things I have done because I started an online writing course (it was free since I am cheap).  So I will put into practice what they told me to do when reading a fellow students work.  I WILL tell you if I do or do not like it and WHY :)

Pam,

I am PMing you.

I am thinking of taking online writing course myself.

I started out being a journalism major in college.

Had 1 year, then moved onto a more technical kind of trade.

I wish I had stuck to journalism.

Thanks
