I want to check out your Bookshelves. I have a freshman and a senior (who is also taking dual credit at a local community college). I teach high school literature in a co-op and am always looking for well written books for class selections and summer reading lists. So, come out of hiding. I know there has to be more highschool homeschoolers on PBS. |

I'll be joining your ranks next year - I have an 8th grader. We're joining a co-op next year and will be doing a High school Language course so I'll be looking on here for the required reading! |

Well, my oldest is doing some 9th and finishing up some 8th, but with 3 more behind her I doubt our bookshelf has much to offer for that level. But I will be watching to see other's bookshelves that may post! :) I am still looking to finish out our high school stuff.

I do homeschool a high schooler and a middle schooler, but I don't think there is much of anything on my shelf either. I'm not sure off the top of my head. All of my books are a jumble since we just moved to the house next door. Dawn |

Two of mine have already graduated but I currently have two high school age boys (and their younger siblings). I also teach in our homeschool co-op, but chemistry and math. I'm always keeping my eyes open for interesting books in both subjects and have found some great ones on pbs. There isn't a whole lot on my bookshelf for high schoolers because we're either using what we need right now or plan to in the near future. I am trying to get rid of my elementary-level books. But, yes, high school homeschoolers are here! Michele |

I have a 10th grader, but I also have twin 2nd graders so I'm keeping most of the literature we are collecting. :) If you want to get some good lists, check out www.notgrass.com We love their history/english combined programs, but even if you use something else you might get some good ideas from looking at their required reading lists. :) We're doing World next year, and found about half of his needed lit books on this site for it. :) |

You may want to check on the Teacher's Forum. I have a high schooler but I have next to nothing , if anything at all, on my shelf that is for high school literature.I did have a few things listed that could be used for high school literature but they have been taken. I do have some high school literature textbooks I may eventually list. My oldest daugther took her favorite books with her when she got married and moved out. Also,I had already gotten rid of a lot of books before I ever heard of pbs. If you plan to study Shakespeare check out the Barron's "Shakespeare Made Easy' books. They are Side-by-Side books. They have the original text with a modern english text next to it on the facing page. Have you seem them ? |

I have 9th and 7th graders so anything one uses I'm saving for the next since they are so close; we even do somethings jointly already!
Not much on my shelf. I wish when searching you could just go to 10 and get 10th grade materials! That would make my life so much easier! |

Well I'll join the ranks and say that I have 1 highschooler he is a junior, and 3 more to go... so I'm also not posting too much hs material. Actaully my junior just went on a missions trip to an indian reservation in NM. I cleared off my shelf and sent a box full of childrens books there. So I REALLY don't have much. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I run out of credits! |

Hello! I'm a former homeschooled student and may have some books that you could use. I just joined this site, so I haven't posted any books yet. Is there anything specific that you're looking for? *~Jennifer~* |

Hi! I have a 16 yo daughter that has homeschooled for 10 years. I have a few Christian fiction books on my bookshelf for about middle-school age & a Schooling At Home book. Sorry I don't have more but I find it difficult to part with many of my books. : ) Lisa |

Hi Jennifer, You may want to take a look at the wishlists of the posters in this thread. I will be interested in looking at your bookshelf when you post books on it.

I have a lot of work books on my bookshelf that go up to highschool. I also have a few for junior high books, including a set of Literature texts -- hard cover student and teacher's edition. If anyone wants more information on any workbook that doesn't seem to list an age/grade in the description, just send me a PM :-) |

Hello again! I started looking through my books, and I have bunch, but I need to clear it through my mom before I post some of them. She seems to like the idea of keeping the majority of the books I used in the past for one reason or another. Right now they're gathering dust though, and I think people such as yourselves could find better use for them!:) I'll try my best to convince her. In the mean time, I've posted a few random books (three of which have already been requested!), but take a peek and check back soon to see if I have any books you could use for homeschooling! Have a wonderful and blessed day!:) *~Jennifer~* |
