A very cute picture book which can be read aloud to young children as a read aloud picture book. It can also be read independently for reading practice by new readers and the publisher notes the reading level is grade 1, level 3. This talks and shows the adult animal with its baby. The illustrations are hand drawn and very nice and realistic. This is nonfiction science content where animals are NOT humanized.
