Have you ever read a book that you thought was just so good and you post it to your bookshelf but it is never requested?  I don't know what it is about this book but the name is "Smoke-Filled Rooms" and it's fiction.  But it is a different  take on the aftermath of MLK's assisination!  It just blew me away, but I've had it for quite awhile.

Well, Emilie, have you written a review for it?  That review should show up on the front page for a while, depending upon how many others are being written at the time.  If someone clicks on the book will a description show up, or is it one of those orphan books without a cover or desscription on your shelf?  Just some thoughts on why.

This is a good forum to post on about it, but maybe change the title of this thread to reflect the name of the book.  Then, describe the book and why you like it.  We do that a lot in Hidden Gems and the books do get ordered and frequently wish lists for it are created.

Good luck with it.

And remember, there might be many copies in the FIFO line ahead of yours!

That is an EXCELLENT book, I agree. It's the first of a mystery series set in 1968--the subsequent books are just as good.

House of Secrets: A Shandra Covington Mystery by Jeffrey S. Savage.

This is a great thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat.

I think this is a little known, soon to be appreciated author.
