Topic: Why is a book on my shelf on WL hold?

I have a book posted, been posted for several days, and this morning it is on WL hold (48 hour hold). Why would it be on a WL hold when it is a posted book? Pat |

Yup Marc, that'd do it. Or if the member just had their WL on hold, or that particular title. They must have been the only person wishing for it, and when they removed the hold, the system went into action. |

I've had that happen to me before on both sides. Where I've come off hold and immediately (like within seconds) had WL offers. Then looked and the book was down to no wishers and had been on someone's shelf. I also frequently put my bookshelf on vacation to control postage costs. I've come off hold jsut long enough to post a WL book and had a book that was already on my bookshelf also pop-up on WL hold. |
