Ok on another site I ordered a book from china (it's in chinese..which I don't read..I just wanted to collect the book) Now this has never happened before but it did today. No one was home to get the mail from the mailbox and inside was a notice that someone had to come to the post office to sign for a package. Now I've gotten stuff from China before and it's never had to be signed for. So luckily my dad came home and signed for the book, but why did he have to sign for it? Did a policy change occur? I see a bar code on here that has a red R and then the numbers and letters RR 502179212CN and then an A circled on it that was hand written. Does that have anything to do with it? It was sent Imprime Surface. Please let me know. Thanks Ashley |

The R# and barcode mean it was sent as a registered package. Registered mail is secure and does need a signature for delivery. In many countries the postal service is poor and people use registered to have a better chance for delivery. |
