Even though I signed on to PBS in 2006, I've never used the site. In checking out PBS, I was wondering why someone would want to hide their wish list from viewing? And I'm wondering why my (...name....) doesn't show up next to my LoriB on the forum. ??
Any other tidbits you might want to share, in regards to establishing a profile? |

You don't have your profile public. That's why there's no link by your name. As for hiding a wish list, someone may not want others to see what genres they read. ;-) Let's say a wife loves romance and her hubby thinks it's stupid...she may not want him to see what she has on there. Or a teen with a parent, etc. Or someone with an alternative lifestyle...on and on. |

Oh okay. I understand that concern.
My initial question came about because when I tried to view homeschooler's wish lists, I couldn't. And I had come up with like 33% in common with them. I just thought in viewing homeschooler's wish list, ~I may have an item someone wishes ~.
I've double checked my profile, and thought for sure it was public. I'll have to go check again.
Thanks. |

In the beginning it all was public. PBS switched to make things more private. The way they did the switch and my busy-ness resulted in me not knowing what is public or not and I've not taken the time to figure it out. I am unclear also about the buddy, they can view our wish list when everyone else cannot or something like that. |

I didn't know about the changes. Guess I should check my settings.... |
