It seems strange to me. If a person buddies you a credit, you get notified, but if someone uses the refund button in the Transaction Archive, you don't? That means you need to really watch your credit balance and check your credit registry frequently after a RWAP to know whether your credit was refunded. A notification system would be nice.

Tiffany, I agree. One time I pmed a member whose book I RWAPed wondering if and when she was going to refund my credit. She pmed me back and told me that she had refunded my credit on the day I RWAPed her book. The only way I found out for sure was to look at my credit registry. I didn't receive an email like I do when I am buddied a credit. I was a little embarrassed to say the least. I think you have a great suggestion to the PBS team.

I agree too, it would be nice to not have to watch. I got unkindly told I needed to study up some more, since I didn't know how to tell when I rec'd a credit refunded. I just assumed the email got lost. Now from what you two have said, I guess one just doesn't come for that purpose. Would really be nice. Nothing like bugging someone to do something they already did to tick them off!

It would be very useful, especially in RWAP transactions where the sender never contacts you back.  Just randomly returns the credit.

Yeah, sure, you can check your txn archive and watch for it, but at some point you're going to stop watching, mark it as never resolved a few days later, and then find out that they really did refund during that period.
