I have at least one current book--likely more, that have waiting lists, yet my info must not be being sent out to people on those waiting lists. How can I find out who wants them and contact them to let them know I have the books? I stumbled upon someone in onbe of the forums looking for one of my former books that also had a very long wish list, but no one had asked for it either, so I told her I had it and she got it from me. Help! Thanks. Mona |

Look to see if you have posted under the right number. If your books have a different ISBN number than the WL books, consider adding a tag to the WL versions. Something like "also under ISBN # XXX". That will help get your version requested. Be aware that alot of the WL versions are for large type or audio books. Another option is to promote your bookshelf. Like offering deals under the Bargain Bazaar. There is often a whole thread about WL books under other numbers. Or go to the unpostable WL thread. |

If you place your own books on your reminder list, you will be able to see how many copies of the book are in the system. If you have noticed that some of them are on other people's wish lists, then most likely they are wishing for a different version than what you have. As the previous poster mentioned, they may want a book on tape or something. |

I would do what Ray suggests and put them on my RL. If there's only yours or a couple posted and the binding is similar to the WL one than tag the WL one with "posted under ISBN XXX". But if the WL is for large print or audio than I wouldn't bother. I also wouldn't bother if there's quite a few copies of your version in the system. Some people want a specific cover or version to match others in their collection. Some people need large print or only want audio. |
