this seems to be a bug - i ordered 3 books recently, the last is in fact written by Ernest Hemingway, but not the other two.  yet Ernest is listed as the author for all three ordered books!

Can you clarify?  Was this a deal?  Did you give 3 credits for the 3 books or did you  get 3 books for 1 credit?  In the transaction log are is Ernest  listed 3 times?

Evan, it may just be a system glitch (the system does odd stuff from time to time to keep us on our toes).  If you've not already done so, try doing the usual computer stuff -- clearing your browser cache, closing your browser, rebooting your machine if needful, wait a day or 2 and see if that fixes it.  If you're not sure how to do any of those things, send me a PM and I'll walk you through it.

I know that seems like really lame advice, but that's all you can do with a wonky situation like this.  If you do all that and the issue persists after the weekend (glitches often magically fix themselves when the techs come back to work on Monday), notify the PBS Team (use the Contact Us link) so they can investigate what old Ernest has been up to :-)

Never mind that above; Cathy figured it out.

On a side note, you might want to edit your post to remove the last transaction involving Olivia.  It isn't anything negative, but posting names and transaction details, even the seemingly insignificant ones, is considered impolite here. :-)

Cheers,

Elizabeth

This actually is a bug. I can see it in my credit registry too, but with a different author altogether. Whenever a book has no author, in the credit registry it takes on the author of the book listed above it. In your case, you have two books listed with no author, so good old Hemingway is being carried along through both of them.

Nice catch, Cathy.  I've submitted data edits to include authors for the books that lacked them, so once those edits get approved (can take a few days to a week), hopefully that won't be a problem anymore, Evan.

Cheers,

Catt

I'm intrigued by the idea of a sports journalism book written by Ernest Hemmingway :)
