What is wrong with my books? I hvae a variety. They are fiction, romance, mysteries, nonfiction, textbooks cookbooks and all sorts of things. Why isn't anyone interested? Please let me know.

I put this on your other post too but thought I'd copy it here as well so you'll be sure to see it.

I would hazzard a guess and say that people can't find five books or more that they like. Maybe offer a 3/1 or in the case of Harlequins a 5/1. Also you have tons of those little romances and so do many other people - I've heard they're hard to move unless you offer some really good deals. Kids books are also hard to move unless you're offering a really good deal. When I say good deals I'm saying 3/1, 4/1 or 5/1.

As for other ideas, I would say get some more popular paperbacks on your shelf --- chick lit like Marian Keyes and Kinsella moves quickly and so do some of the more popular cozy mystery authors. Paranormal is also very popular. Go over to the Romance forum and see what authors are popular. The popular authors go fairly quickly during good deals. Have a reasonable selection of each because that way your deal goes now you're asking them to cross over genres that are vastly different to find at least five books that they like. Textbooks, kids and Harlequins are nothing alike.

Another tip, get photos with your books. There are people on the other forums who know how to do that. I don't but luckily nearly all of my shelf shows up with covers.

Another idea, take a look at the shelves of the people whose deals are moving quickly. See what they have as far as genres and authors go. See what people are ordering from them.

Hope that helps ....

Susan is right, your shelf needs some help. I'll get you a shelf fairy! One will contact you in the next few days, and try to see about getting images and descriptions for as many as possible of the books on your shelf.

I do agree that you have a lot of romance, but once those are set aside, you do have an interesting selection of books. I'm personally only interested in specific SciFi/Fantasy books that are listed in my Notebook, but I think the rest of your books will move in time. Unfortunately, because many of them are a bit eclectic, it may take a while :)

Hi Sandra, Mostly, I agree with the previous posts. However... if I see a sale such as your 5 for 1, and I don't see 5 that I like, I'll take 3 for 1 or 2 for one (you get the idea). I don't read many Harlequin but the Mysteries and Suspense you have are ones that I already have or have read. If you want, PM me after the "shelf fairy' visits and I'll check out your bookshelf again! Good Luck. Kathleen

I love Harlequins!  I'm always looking for deals but your books are quite old.  I own or have read most of them.  I'm interested in newer Harlequins.  I think you'll find the same from others who love these little series books.
