I was in the book bazar and found a person offering 3 for 1 on their book shelf.  So I went and took a peak at their shelf and submitted an order for a book then sent a PM with my other 2 choices.  I can't remember for sure but I think I then posted my choices on her topic so people knew what I had taken.  A few days later after realizing that I had not received confirmation of the acceptance of the book, I checked my transaction archive and it shows being cancelled by the sender.  I quickly went and cancelled my request that had been bumped to the next person in line as I had only ordered that particular book as it was part of the deal.  So my question or complaint is why would you post a deal and then not respond?  I understand things can happen but would a little PM be too much to ask?  I am just glad that I was able to cancel the request for the book before it was mailed by the next person in line.

Do you have RCs? I quit doing much on the BB because of the mess caused by FIFO when the order was denied due to RCs. It could also have been that someone had taken the book you wanted and the person just didn't tell  you. It would have been nice to send to a PM.  If I do venture into a BB deal, I always request that they notify me before cancellling the request so that I can make sure FIFO doesn't take over.

I've had that happen a couple of times.  It is annoying because then the next person in line is offered your request.  Luckily I've been able to catch it and cancel the order since I only wanted the book in a deal.  I don't get it either.

I've had it happen twice and luckily both times I caught it before FIFO took over - like you, I only ordered the books because they could be had in a deal.

I have no idea why people do a deal and then cancel the order. When I do deals I make sure I have ample time and ample money for postage so I can mail right away. I mean, after all, I'm soliciting their business when I go advertise myselff!!!  If I'm short money and short time, no deals from me.

I had one deal languish for quite a while - she took five days to accept it (this is a deal mind you that she'd posted in BB) and then she marked the furthest "can mail by date" and then right when it was to cancel I sent her a PM and asked her if she forgot to mark it sent. She said she wouldn't be able to send it out for a couple of weeks so she'd better cancel.

Two days later she had another 3/1 deal going in the BB. She's a had a couple since. I have no idea what her game is but I steer way clear of her when she's offering a deal. This was all pretty recent too

I still can't resist those deals though ......  :)

I'm a sucker for deals so have to stay out of the bazaar thread except to post any I have going (3 for 1 right now if anyone is interested!)

The only thing I can figure is that maybe the book you ordered was requested as a freebie by someone ahead of you???  But she should have contacted you if that was the case, not just cancelled your request.
