Topic: Why does the wish list do this?

When I sort my wish list by date listed, it shows that I have 193 books listed. When I sort by title, same 193. When I sort by author's last name, it only shows 181 listed. Does anyone know why there is a discrepancy? |

You probably have twelve books on your WL that do not have an author listed. (Perhaps a collection or edited book of some sort? Or reference book?) ETA: One is that ASJA reference book on your WL... I 'think' this is the way it works: When it sorts by author, it only counts the author once (if you have 6 books by one author, it counts it as 1)

Patrick, it works the way Jane mentioned. The books that don't show up are those that don't have an author listed. This also happened to me and it drove me nuts trying to figure out the discrepancy. I posted on the boards and someone explained it to me. |

That was always confusing to me until I got the explanation (from Spuddie I think) I think Sherry mentioned about the new data editing is working on fixing that problem by listing authors for all books but Im not positive on that. |
