Published in November, 1971, "with unscrambled notes from Fran Tarkenton".

From the dust cover: 'Thank heaven for Elaine Tarkenton, who perceived the plight of the Sunday football widow and took pity on her. Elaine, wife of the New York Giants' celebrated quarterback, has written a book as simple as it can be, in which she systematically details the game of football from A to Z. For example, the field: "No matter how it is defined, or by whom, football is played on a rectangular field 100 yards long, 53.3 yards wide.' Clearly and concisely, position by position, she explains offensive and defensive play, the passing game, punting, and place-kicking. That done, Elaine goes on to less technical but equally strategic "things to know and remember.'

A vintage treasure for football history buffs.
