I really liked this series. Stahl gives her stories a lot more depth than the usual Christian historical romance.

This book was written by Laurie Stahl, daughter of very gifted author Hilda Stahl. Hilda wrote the first book but died before she could complete the series and her daughter did and excellent job of finishing
this series. As far as I can tell this is the only book ever written by Laurie Stahl.

I loved this book even though I had not read Women of Catawba first. This is the first book I have read of Laurie Stahl's Books. I am going to have to find some more by her and her mother, Hilda Stahl.

The sequel to Women of Catawba, this book could stand alone as it's story. Set two years after the end of the first book, we join them again as they have made significant progress on their home and businesses. This story continues to show the strength of the women who came to America and worked hard alongside their families in a difficult wilderness setting. Characters struggle with difficult issues of their days such as slavery and women's rights and others.
