The story of Jesse Dodson and his family as the Civil War swept over the Tennessee mountains. His 16 year old son runs away and enlists and Jesse goes to find him, enscripted into the army and fights in some of the major battles of the war. An epic tale of one man's journey through the horrors of war and a family's courage and hope for healing. A saga of heartache, sacrifice, faith and lasting love.

"Winds of the Cumberland" takes place during the Civil War. As you read you will follow one man's journey. Based on truth. His search for his son, struggles through the horrors of war, he doesn't want to be a part of. A good read. It is not nessarry to read books one and two of the series. As each book begins a new story plot. dg
