The Winds of War Author:Herman Wouk These two classic works capture the tide of world events even as they unfold the compelling tale of a single North American family drawn into the very center of the wars maelstrom. These two multimillion-copy bestsellers capture all the drama, romance, heroism, and tragedy of the Second World War.
"The Winds of War" is the longest book I have ever read. I must admit, I was tempted to put it aside, I glad I didn't. It turned out to be an extremely exciting book. Wouk gives a realistic picture of Europe before World War II and the struggles of a military family. I highly recommend it.
