Interesting, the first 50 or so pages on what the wise thought of the wind through history. He is not as detail oriented as I would like, in my neck of the woods he made two quasi-errors, calling my local mountain pass San Gorgonia (it's Gorgonio), and saying that 30 degrees north latitude is about at northern California, more or less (5-plus degrees off is more than "more or less). He could use a good editor beyond spell-check, he used the wrong kind of to/two/too, which even a 1st grade teacher can catch.

I enjoyed the book, it took some time to get through the whole thing. Its all over the place when it comes to the topic (well, what do you expect, it's the wind), from how birds fly to navigation to a little on global warming.
