This was such a good book I hated for it to end! Psychologist Dr. Meggie O'Connor is divorced and has left her hectic life in New York for a simpler life on Lake Michigan's scenic Leelanau Peninsula. She encounters a new client who is an elderly Sioux medicine woman who literally turns her life around. "Graceful and powerful, its story deeply rooted in traditional Lakota teachings, Winona's Web touches the heart with its message of hope and prayer, love and loss, and learning to listen to the web of this world." from the back. I believe this is the first novel in a trilogy by same author.

A psychologist, Meggie O'Connor, leaves the stress of NY for a simple rural area near Lake Michigan. Winona, an elderly Sioux medicine woman is being seen by her because of concerns expressed by the family - But who is really the patient? Well told and heartwarming.
