I am a fan of Vitola's Ty Merrick "Moon" series, but this unrelated book suffers from too much plot and not enough story (?). An urban vampire story set in mid-1990s Washington DC, it has some great moments, but overall it was unsatisfying. If there were a sequel, I would read it though, I did like the characters.
