WOW, had a HC book mailed Friday (2/18) from northern Wisconsin using media mail  and it got here (FL) today!  Yep, 3 days!  Guess the fed govt workers were working there even if the state ones weren't!

Whatever was/is going on in Madison with the State employees doesn't effect the post office. Plus this time of the year is really slow for us, not many packages coming thru.

Not sure what misinformation you are hearing in Florida or other parts of the country, but Wisconsin's state employees did not stop working at any time.

Please verify your facts before posting. Wisconsin state employees are hard working people with a strong work ethic.

Julie, i think she was referring to the State Senators that fled Wisconsin to avoid voting on Govenor Walker's budget bill?

Wasn't there also a sick-out by teachers? Either way, I wouldn't necessarily say either group was "not working". Collective political action (preventing a quorum or pre-strike activity) does not happen without lots of people working. If my rights or those of my constituents were being threatened, I'd be working to prevent that, even if it meant delaying my "real job".
