A great, detailed look at life as a worker bee in organized crime. Really interesting to get Henry Hill's perspective. A quick, engrossing read.

This book would have been better if I hadn't watch GoodFellas on an (almost) daily basis for 3 years. It's exactly like the movie. I suggest this book for those who love Goodfellas and those who just love true crime and mafia books.

Definitely a good book. Full of suspense - not for weak stomachs. Tells about a boy turned mafia and then, before they ended up killing him, he turned state's evidence. I read it in only 2 days -- hard to put down.

If you have ever watched the move, Goodfellas, then you need to read this book and On the Run A Mafia Childhood. The move is based on the book Wiseguy but the books both tell the life of Henry Hill. The children go into more detail about what life was like for them. Both are good books.

After reading this book I understand the movie Goodfellas ALOT better. The movie was pretty accurate. I am fascinated by the mob and this book provided me an inside look at the inner workings of the mob and the life on Henry Hill. He truly lived an amazing life and was involved in some crazy things. This book tells all. I also love how parts of this book talk about key points from the story form the points of view of Henry, Karen, and his mistress Linda. Great read!
