I have a set of three trade paperbacks by Juliet Marillier. Daughter of the Forest, Son of the Shadows, and Child of the Prophecy.  I would much rather send all three to the same address, but the person who is first in line for the first book doesn't want the other two.

If you would like all three wish-listed books, please send me a PM.

If you haven't read any of these, or this author -- take my word for it -- you *will* want to read all three in a row!  Good writing, good characters and an epic story spanning 4 generations.

Books are spoken for, thanks.

It sounds like a great series!  The first book is available in the system, but I didn't see the others.  Does anyone know , is there a fourth out this year?

When all three books in a trilogy like this are wish-listed, the people wishing for all three aren't going to be in the same order. Generally they aren't going to be first in line for all three, or tenth in line for all three, or whatever.

If one person requests a book, (wish listed or not) and the person offering the book offers them additional wish-listed books for which the requester isn't first in line  -- is that against the rules, too?  It happens all the time.  There are threads in every forum that talk about how to save postage by mailing multiple books.  That's all I'm trying to do.

Kate, thanks!  I read lots of book reviews, and I thought the "Sevenwaters" sounded familiar.  (I'm a librarian who gets to buy books for our library system...it's a great job!!)  ;P

Denise, It's permissable to offer wishlisted books in the forums (paranormal and romance, anyhow) and many times we will say that preference goes to someone who wants 2 or more books. We have a thread designed for this and yes, it's withstood all the tests and complaints and it is permissable to do this.

You might want to go over to the paranormal forum and offer them in our ongoing thread there. Sci-fi isn't exactly paranormal but there are definitly cross-genre readers over there and in the romance forum too.

Just to clarify, we do not ASK for wishlisted books, we OFFER what we have in both those forums. Big difference.

Some frown upon our practice of doing this but honestly, we get tired of people not keeping up their wishlists and many times it'll finally get accepted on the third, fourth person. This way it goes out very quickly and to a person we know who wants it and possible someone that we've become aquainted with in our various forums. Plus we can sometimes send out 2 or more books to the same person and save on postage.

Anyhow, here in the Book Bazaar you can not offer wishlisted books.

Just to be clear, Susan, is that last line a typo?  It contradicts what you wrote above.

Wish-listed books can be offered in the book bazaar, but people can not ask for wish-listed books.  Right?

Susan is saying wish-list books can not be offered in the Book Bazaar where the rules of the BB, as copied above, state you cannot. They can, and are, in some the genre forums such as Paranormal and Love and Romance since there are currently no rules against that in those forums. Those forums do still frown on people asking to jump the wish list lines.

As for your original post, if you do not intend to send a WL with no stings attached to the first person in line, please don't post it. Nothing is more disappointing than having a WL book offered only to be told that the sender won't give it to you without ordering more books from them.

Yep, Melanie got what I was saying and to clarify it a bit more in my post I should have said "genre" forums instead of just forums since I guess this place is technically a forum although I simply look at it as the "Book Bazaar." :)

So, no type-o ... just not very clear on my part! lol  Yes, to offering wishlisted books in some genre forums (in the appropriate thread .... mystery/thriller has one too, as well as the ones already mentioned). But no to offering wishlisted books in the Book Bazaar,
