I recently posted a book using the ISBN #. It's a popular book that is on the wish list of several members. In fact, it was on my wish list and was sent to me. Although this book has the same title and picture, the ISBN# is different than the one for which members are wishing. Is there a feature that notifies members that a book by title and author is available or does the system only recognize ISBNs when notifying the next wishing member?  Just curious as I was hoping to pass this book along. Thanks!

There is an email that gets sent automatically "Similiar to Wish List Item" ... it seems to go by title and/or author ... I get them about different ISBNs besides the one I am Wish Listing.

I would put your ISBN on your Reminder List and see how many copies are in the system ... if its just a few, people may want your copy instead, if its a lot, people are probably waiting for certain bindings, etc, and won't be interested even if they get the "similiar to" email.

One of the things I do is tag the highly wished version.  Something like "also under ISBN XXX".  That way the next person might order your ISBN book.  But there are some folks who only want a specific book, to match a set or due to problems holding small books or heavy books.

Large print and Audio book folks usually turn off the other version emails.
