When your wish list book gets lost in the mail shouldn't you be able to go back to 1st place in the wish list for it? I had 3 all from the same person end up as lost in the mail. The person has been suspended & I suspect she never sent them to begin with. I checked my wish list & out of the 3 books only 1 has me in the #1 place, the other 2 are 59 & 124. How exactly does this work & why do I have to wait another year for 2 of them which is how long I waited for them already.

Thanks

Willow

You return to your same place in line. I suspect that you were not first in line for all three, but that the member got the request for the one you were 1st for, and then looked at your WL and posted the other two directly to you. That doesn't jump you to the front of the line permanently, if they go lost you return to where you were.

Yes, I'm sure what Melanie said is what happened. It would have been very rare for you have three books that you were #1 in the WL line for come from the same person, so wherever you were before is where they put you back to if the books go lost or the sender cancels.

I do this all the time.  If I post a WL book I check their WL and see if I have anything else I can post to them. It helps cut down on postage.  I usually PM them first just to make sure they have credits or didn't get the book somewhere else and just forgot to delete it from their WL.
