I have to say there's nothing quite like getting a notification that someone has your wish-listed book!

I had two books in a series that I really wanted. I watched my position for the books jump around and then finally got notified for BOTH books! ... and then had my requests turn down because my RC specified no smoke (an issue for one user) or mold (an issue for another). I was rather sad. And then a few days later, I got a request for BOTH books again! I have orderd them and they are on their way.  : )

And then, last night, there's a book I've been wanting for school. I nearly took it off my wish list, deciding there was no way I'd get it before school started. And then, this morning I got a notification for it! :)

Wish Lists are so exciting! :)

Anyone else have some exciting news to share?

I am still waiting for any of my WL books...so I haven't gotten the warm and fuzzy on WLs yet.   I had a wait of 2 weeks now it is 12 weeks.  I am trying not to think about it or look....just be surprised.  But congrats on receiving your WL so soon - I can't wait to be in front of the line for a book :)

Seeing that "WISH GRANTED" email is just the best. Sometimes, I leave it up in my inbox, even after I've requested the book. I have one that's showing "within 1 week" and PBS has been eerily accurate with this, so I keep hoping today's the day.

I've been having too many of my wish list books available. Now I have over 60 books to read. I am running out of space on my  bookshelf.

I just had my first "Wish Granted" email yesterday and I was SOOOO happy too.  It is a schoolbook for my daughter that I would need in the next  few months.

About a month ago I went through a spell of having several of my WL books become available all at the same time.  It was really exciting!  Now I'm in a dry spell , but am thinking a couple are about to become availabe pretty soon if the estimates are right.  Most times they have been pretty accurate.  I have been trying to read mostly the ones that I know are WLed by other people so I can hurry and repost them.  Still have so many to go though! LOL

Unpostable copy of Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn.  Water  damage to about the first 12 pages, cover is creased. Will send free with any book from my bookshelf.  PM me so we can work out a deal!

Yay, congrats on getting those wish listed books, Heidi! :-) I've been having quite a lot of wish list books being granted for me, so I had to put my account on hold. I've had to buy credits to keep up with the wish listed books coming in. I have 10 books that I requested which are on their way to me now. :-P Often a sender has another book that I want, and then I end up spending more credits on those! :-D

I keep getting WL'd books offered. I have accepted them all, but they all keep timing out because the people never come back. So I go back on the WL again.

I am also having a much-needed breather...my wish list typically kicks up several books a week, but I currently only have 3 books on the way to me, and just one of those was wishlisted and sent out on the weekend. Feels weird, but is a good opportunity to pare a few books off my TBR without adding any more.

But these things tend to go in streaks. Most likely what will happen is, within the next couple of days there will be one wishlist book that comes up and then within 24 hours there'll be 2 or 3 more. I have my whole WL autorequested so sometimes it can be a great surprise when I logon. :)

Heidi, I just looked at your WL...are you by chance a fan of or perhaps studying Alexandre Dumas? LOL
