I wishlisted a book the other week and I was 1 of 1. However, just looked at my wishlist now and I am 2 of 2. I'm pretty sure I am not remembering incorrectly, because I remember remarking to myself about being the only person on PBS wanting that book. I don't think it's an issue of not having enough credits, because I have 7. Is it possible to drop down the wishlist? |

Yes and here's why: WL books go lost in the mail, putting the receiver back in line, WL books arrived damaged and get marked as such, putting the receiver back in line, people put their WL or individual WL books on vacation hold and then take them off, wish list books get posted but not mailed and the receiver gets put back in line. You get the picture. I never pay attention to wish list position unless I'm looking to buy some books. Then I look to avoid buying one that has a good chance of being posted to me soon. |

That makes sense. Thanks! |

Yes, another member may have had their account on hold while on summer vacation...it's that time of year If the book itself or your entire account is on hold, it does not show on the wishlist until you remove the hold. Holds do not remove a wisher from the list, but they are invisible until the hold comes off. |

Similar question: I was #1 on Wish List for a book that hasn't been published yet. Now I'm #3. Since no one should have been able to post it yet, shouldn't I still be #1?

Lynne, same thing Denise said. Probably what happened is 2 people had it WL before you, but were on "hold" and now have unheld their accts so they pop up in line in front of you. It's just that those people on hold are invisible to us until they unhold their acts. |
