I have a book.  How's that for a lead in?  Seriously; I have a book that would appear it is much wished for...  OK; sixty peops are wishing for this book per the system.  So I got ready to post it.  At that point I realized that the ISBN in my book was different.  it is the same identical book as the wishlisted book but has an "extra" in it and was apparently sold only through Walmart.  Noone is wishing for this book ..still waiting for the other.  I know it is the same  other than an extra page or so with "recipes" someplace in it.  Seems a shame that someone waiting/wishing is not aware of this book.  Anyone else ever run into that situation>?  I hope I have explained this.  Noone else has a copy of the exact book I have posted.  It has the same DJ and everything.

Is this the Silver Linings book by Debbie Macomber that's on your bookshelf? If so, it's very likely that it will be requested soon. She's a popular author, and the next person who searches for that book by title will find that yours is available while all the other versions are not.

This does happen, and there's really nothing you can do about it. If the system is able to detect that it's the same book as the other ones that are being wished for, it will send out a "Similar to wish" email to everyone on those wish lists, but it seems like that probably didn't happen here. There may be just enough difference in the listings that the system can't tell they're the same book.

Yes as a matter of fact I've gotten several "similar to wish" offers this week.  One of them I really wanted and got but often by the time I link to it, it has already been taken so I agree with Cathy with that many wishers it'll be snatched up.  I think you (the wisher) have to set your preferences to receive the "similar to wish"  e-mails.

Melody, when you look at the main book page, on the far right column there is a place for Other Versions (about the 4th down).  Does your book show any?  If it doesn't show them or doesn't show all of them, send a note to the PBS Team (use Contact Us- bottom of any page, under Company) and ask to have your listing (ISBN & title) linked to the other edition(s).  They will just show as 'Paperback' or 'Audio CD', whatever, but those are active links and will take you to the other listing - just send them the ISBNs for any that are NOT linked.
