I got a book yesterday that I noticed had a Wa next to it. That means it's on someone's WL as auto-request, yes? Since it was a short book, I purposely bumped it ahead of others in my TBR pile so I could turn it around for the next person on the list. However, as soon as I posted it the Wa disappeared, with no WL holds or requests in my accout.
Any idea how this works? |

hmmmmm......... could it of still been on your WL? That's the only thing I can think of. |

I'm not totally sure, but I THINK this means the WL book was on autorequest, but the requester did not have enough credits in their account and declined the offer to buy some in order to get your book. Maybe they had already reached their credit/postage limit for the month. I have my account on hold for this reason. Pam |

If it's not on WL hold in your account then check your bookshelf. If it's there, it means that there was probably only one member wishing for the book, and in the time it took you to read and post it, the book was posted by another member. |

Yep, that's one reason why I rarely use either the red or green W's to determine what I read. Wishlists are changing all the time! Even in the few hours it takes to read a book and post it, other copies might have come available or people may have deleted it off their wishlist for whatever reason. If you were waiting for an *immediate* response because of the Wa, that won't happen....it goes in that 1-hour pending 'buyer's remorse' area. If that is the case, it would have still shown up on your bookshelf with a gray circle next to it--after the hour, then you would get the book request. Otherwise, if the request was cancelled or the book no longer wishlisted, it would be just on your shelf available to others. Cheryl |
