i just posted water for elephants which shows on tbr as WA which is a wish list auto request but when i post it - its on my book shelf as a reg. book ??? is there a glitch ??

Is there a gray exclamation mark to the right of this book on your shelf? If so, then it's in a one hour buyer's remorse period and you'll get a request at the end of the hour. If it's on your My Account page under Wish List Holds, then it's in a 48-hour offer period because the first person on the WL didn't have any credits.

if indeed it is really not requested, you may have one with an ISBN that is not on the WL.

Edit to add:  I went to look and there are actually 2 copies (yours and one other) of the ISBN that you have...yours is not a WL copy but, you could post in the Bazaar under WL books with alternate iSBN's
