I checked the wish list to see if I had any books that another member was wishing for. I saw a couple of books on the club wish list that I had, and so I posted them. It still shows 3 people want it, but I have not been notified to send the book to anyone. I'm confused. If it is on a wish list, why have I not been notified? |

There are several possibilities that can occur when you post a wish listed book. The first member in the WL line will have the first chance to respond to the listing. If the member has the book on auto-request you should receive a request for it very shortly after posting it. However, if the book is not auto-requested PBS will send an email to the member to alert them that the book has been posted. The member then has 48 hours to respond to the notification and request the book. If the member either declines the offer or does not respond within 48 hours, then the book will be offered to the next person in the WL. If on auto-request by this member the book will be requested immediately but, if not, this member will also have 48 hours to respond to the offer. It is possible for the offer to go through several members before the book is actually requested, and it is also possible that a book may pass through all WL members and yet not be requested. If there are multiple declines or timeouts the process can take a while to play out. There are any number of reasons why members in the WL line might not request a book on their WL. For example, they may have already found another copy of the book and forgot to remove it from their WL; they no longer want the book and forgot to remove it from their WL; they don't have a credit available at the moment and do not want to purchase one; they don't log into PBS frequently or didn't see the email from PBS right away, spaced it out, or simply failed to reply within the 48-hour deadline for whatever reason. If a book you posted is on several WL's then it will likely be requested, but it may take several days, so be patient. |

Thank you all for answering. I did go back and look at the ISBN, and in doing so, I discovered that my book does not show up in the search list. I went to the site as a visitor, and did not sign in, and I did a search for my book. I tried it by the author: Mary higgins Clark, and then by the tilte: No place like home. It came up as post this book. I signed in and searched again, and again it did not come up, but it showed 3 people have it on their wish list. Any suggestions? It is on my bookshelf, and it says it was posted. |

Winona -- The ISBN you posted shows that there are 280 copies already in the system. (You can see how many of a particular ISBN are posted by adding it to your reminder list.) There are also several other versions posted as well. The version that has 3 members wishing appears to be a paperback published in the UK. |

Here's the one people are wishing for: http://www.paperbackswap.com/Place-Home-Mary-Mary-Higgins-Clark/book/184983461X/ This is ISBN 9781849834612, and it's a paperback. You have ISBN 9780743264891, which is a hardcover. These are considered two different books in the PaperBackSwap system. |
