Hi again guys!

So I just posted a hardcover copy of A Book (sorry, removed the title, didn't mean to advertise here).  I was surprised when it didn't go on hold immediately because it's a WL.  So, I dug a little further, and it looks like the paperback is WL but not the hardcover and there are 3 other hardcovers in the system.  Is it OK for me to advertise it?

You can in the book bazaar or in the genre forums.  Generally in the genre forums they have a red sticky at the top of the page.  Good Luck

I would tag the WL version with the ISBN of the hardcover. Put like "3 posted under ISBN xxxx". It's possible that all those people really want a paperback. But since there's so few hardcovers posted some of those members might be tired of waiting.  The hardcover was also probably recently WL as well and people don't realize that there's a few copies in the system.

There is also a specific thread in the Book Bazaar where you can advertise books that are wishlisted under a different ISBN

And you can put that information in your signature line so when you post on the forums, everyone who sees the signatures will see that you have that book.

I didn't see any problem with the title being in there.  You were asking for advice on how to advertise it and usually someone will say "put the title in here maybe one of the wishers will see it".

Mary, that's one of those "rock and hard spot" situations.  If they don't say what title the book is, then everyone wants to know (especially on this forum), and if they do have the title someone accuses them of "advertising."  ;D   In the end - just let it roll off your back.

This highlights a good reason to WL every version of the book and wait to see whch you get first - unless of course you want a specific version.
