That would let you put in a list of ISBN's you were going to post to your bookshelf, and compare them to member's wishlists to find a member wanting multiple books from your shelf before you posted them. I'm tired of posting a wishlist book, checking the requesting member's wishlist, then posting what I have from their wishlist directly to them. And then discovering that I could have sent 5 or 6 books all to one person when I do the next wishlisted book.

Maybe make it a perk of gold key membership? I'd spring for gold key if it was!

You can preview which of your friends have the book on their WL using a gold key option.   I will open two windows just to look at their WL.

Yes, Gold Key does allow you to see if any of your friends are wishing for the book you have before you post it.  Then you can look thru their entire WL to see if you also own anything else they have.

There are definite perks to having Gold Key! yes

If I'm understanding correctly, you wish there was a method by which you could input all the ISBNs for the books you'd like to post into a search function, then PBS would go out and search people's wish lists and show you who has the most titles wished for, so that you could mail in bulk.

I think that would be a great idea, but I know nothing of computer programming so I don't know if it would be possible.  Still, it would be a handy thing!

BookwormKath - Exactly. I'm not looking just to swap with friends but the whole site. I'm on a tight budget each month, and I could send more books out total if I send less packages KWIM? If it's possible with friends, it's possible with the whole site.

to answer the question as to whether it's possible ... the answer is yes.

To answer the question of whether it's likely ... nope. It would invalidate the whole Wish List system. PBS does allow limited "workarounds" to the strict First-Person-In-Line-Gets-the-Book system they've created, but that's mostly because the people taking advantage of those workarounds are a very small percentage of overall site users. (IMO).

The best way to do what you want to do is list your books in the Bazaar thread for WL multiples. You should get some responses to that. Although I find that if you have a whole bunch of books with a very small amount of wishers, it's less likely that someone is going to want a bunch of them. It works better if you have a bunch of books of the same genre, of the same author or series, and/or of large amounts of wishers.

Trinity.......while I understand your desire to work within your budget for mailing costs I also need to express my dismay with members who look to bypass the wishlist system that this site is based on.

I am on a book budget too, that means if I cannot afford the postage to send books on the FIFO system, I do not post them to my bookshelf.

My budget also means that I cannot afford to buy new books so I put them on my wishlist and am willing to wait months (sometimes years!! YIKES!!) to get a book sent to me.

A late Welcome to you (as you joined in January of this year). I have been a member for almost 8 years......I love this site!!!

I'll make sure to check your bookshelf to see if there is a book I can order.

EDITED TO ADD: You have no books listed to swap.....maybe try used bookstores or thrift stores to purchase books that members have on their wishlist. If you check the search option you can find a list of the most wished books.....good luck!!
