What's on your wish list that you are the only one wishing for? I have about 75 books on my wish list (at the begining of this week I had about 2, but then I got to looking at the games forums, and I know I'm gonna want to play some games, and some of them require the gamers to use your wish list - so i filled it up with all the stuff I really do want! (well, and one of the things I really do want is to find great new series to read, so there are a bunch of 'first book in the series' on the list, so i can find me some great new ones!) I'm gonna tell my family to feel to use it as a gift list, too! But, I noticed, since I am a strange duck (I already KNEW that!), I have SEVERAL books that I am the only wisher for! (and several more that I am number 1 million of 1 billion). I thought it would be fun to share what other people are the only wisher for. But, I should warn you, - there was a thread this week in the forums here about one of my very FAVORITE genres' - and my wish list doubled! Post your lists here at your own peril - after you post them, you may be number one of a few more than one! hehe. Here's my 'Onliest Wisher' list: Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death :: M.C. Beaton Dreaming the Eagle (Boudica Trilogy) :: Manda Scott In Love Trouble: Stories of Black Women :: Alice Walker Jews, God, and History :: Max I. Dimont The Secrets of Jin-shei :: Alma Alexander They Have A Word For It :: Howard Rheingold The Verb To Bird :: Peter Cashwell The sun, the moon, and the stars (Fairy tales) :: Steven Brust Snow White, Blood Red :: Ellen Datlow, Terri Windling Truly Grim Tales :: Priscilla Galloway Politically Correct Betime Stories: Modern Tales for Our Life and Times / Politcally Correct Bedtime Stories: Once Upon a More Enlightened Time :: James Finn Garner Firebird :: Mercedes Lackey Rose Daughter :: Robin McKinley The NPR Guide to Building a Classical CD Collection : The 350 Essential Works :: Ted Libbey

Wow, I wish I knew how to make clean posts on this sites boards. That's just ugly up there - and it wasn't when i typed it in. I carefully made lists, doubles spaced paragraghs, and everything....

I am the only wisher for a bunch of DAW and Laser science fiction books I am collecting.  I am sure I could add more, but I don't have enough credits to go crazy.

Latricia, I'll bet you are working on a Mac and using a Safari browser. For some reason, the Mac/Safari combination does not speak to the PBS site. I've been told that the Firefox browser lets you format posts here. I'm just too lazy to download another browser when Safari works fine everywhere else. I wish PBS would tweak THEIR end so that we Mac users had an easier time with the interface. Good luck!

ah... that makes sense. I am not working on a Mac, but I *do* use Opera, which does not always co operate well with some sites. Probably the issues.

Cindy, Are you a Laurrell K. Hamilton fan? If not, if you have not tried her books, can I recomend them? The first in the Vamp/shapeshifter series is Guilty Pleasures. It is not on my shelf, becasue it is one of those books I could buy by the case and never have one of - i just keep giving them away.

How do you know what you are the only wisher for? How do you know where you are in line?

There is a symbol, a gray circle with an ! right before book type on your wish list. Put your mouse on it and it shows you the number you are out of how many.

Cries in the Desert (St. Martin's True Crime Library) :: John Glatt

Endless Love :: Scott Spencer

Five for Sorrow, Ten for Joy :: Rumer Godden

Oceans Apart :: Karen Kingsbury

This was an interesting exercise for me.  I did not know how to check where I am in the wishing order.  I see that, at least when it comes to cookbooks, I may need to just buy them!  Also, it was interesting to note that any erotica I have listed has the highest number of wishers.  On the other hand out of 78 wish list books, I am 1 or 2 for 44 or them.  I need to get more points.
